Ancient Heart - #126 Tikaram,
Tanita 1988 Reprise 1/1/88 Interesting cover and heard her while I was
shopping in J&R. It is a good
album but she was late in releasing additional albums and for sure she was
forgotten. A Twist in My Sobriety is the
best of the bunch but she has unique and wonderful phrasing and an unusual
sensibility in the rest of her songs.

Songs Of New York - #63 Torme, Mel 1983 Atlantic 1/1/83 This guy has been around for ever. And thank you for that. He is ranked by some with Ella
Fitzgerald. I don't know, maybe but
he is good. This album is something I
love and hate at different times.

Last Of The Red Hot Mamas, The Legerndary- #660 Tucker,
Sophie 1994 Parade 1/1/94 My curiosity about Sophie as being a predecessor
to the likes of Bette Midler got me to buy this album. The music here is not much more than a
curiosity because it is difficult to spot the legendary Tucker in it
all. The quality is better than one

"Private Dancer" even tho it has more hits. The mix is as important sometime than the
music. This is good stuff though, you
