James Taylor's Greatest Hits - #503

Taylor, James

1976 Warner Bros 1/1/76

This man can write songs and this man can sing songs.  But listening to too much of is poetry or hearing too much of his sound can put you to sleep.  Its really country music that sounds like folk and sells like pop.

Better Days - #708

Tedeschi Band, The Susan

1998  12/1/98

This would be a 4 if it were a better sound quality.  This apparently was released later than "Just Won't Burn" but was obviously a garage effort.  Tedeschi shines through on this.  Oh, lordy, I hope she pulls off some hits so we can hear a lot of her for a long time.

Just Won't Burn - #706

Tedeschi, Susan

1998 Tone-Cool 8/10/98

WOW - been looking for someone that can push the boundaries that Janis Joplin built and this is one artist that just might be doing it.  I hope she is successful so that we get lots of albums from her.  I love this music.  The women's voice gives me chill when she hits some notes.  The more I hear of it the better I like it.
