Schuur, Diane

1992 GRP Records 1/1/92

I bought this without knowing a thing about Diane Schuur.  I still don't know a thing about Diane Schuur but having seen her perform at the mall in Washington DC on a 4th of July and listening to this I like her.  She can move it on and sing and get into jazz.  It is best to listen to all of these songs before you deny liking her.  I did not like the first songs, or thought them very common to be precise.  After I hold the whole album to my ear I like it.

Purchased: 12/4/92 - Columbia House $17,397.00

Schuur, Diane

1993 GRP Records 1/1/93

Fine music here but the less than familiar.  It is not of me to be in this mood so usually I go on when I here this.   Pleasant but not daring musically.

Planetary Chronicles, Vol II - #467

Serrie, Jonn

1994 Miramar 1/1/94

Best New Age Space Music around.  It inspired me to buy another album by the same artist.  First Night Out is a classic of this genre.

Purchased: 1/18/96 - Tower Records $10.09

Planetary Chronicles, Volume 1 - #484

Serrie, Jonn

1992 Miramar 1/1/92

I purchased Chronicles, Volume 2 first, liked that one so thought two is twice as good.  Well, vol. 2 has a more memorable song, almost of "hit" quality but this one is better overall.  A good buy.

Purchased: 7/18/97 - J&R $9.99

Dirty Boogie, The - #607

Setzer Orchestra, The Brian

1998 Interscope 6/23/98

Fun, fun.  Swing hits the 90's and pop music.  Redo.  Retro, very long retro.  Even my mom would like some of these hits from the American Standard catalog.

Purchased: 12/1/98 - Amazon.com $11.88

Doin' What Comes Naturally - #493

Shore, Dinah

1992 Sony 1/1/92

Dinah Shore, a record from the 50's.  What was good then is good now.  A great pop artist.  Almost a girl group by herself.  I think I first heard this album in about 1955 at my Grandmothers house on Babcock Street In Eau Claire Wisconsin.  A disk bought by my Aunt Jeanette, I think.

Purchased: 4/2/97 - J&R $8.99

Sixteen Most Requested Songs - #246

Shore, Dinah

1990 Columbia

Popular music.  For me it was defined for me by my Aunts during the 50's  I listened to them play this stuff when they were teenagers.  I like it now.

Purchased: 9/28/91 - J&R $10.99

Simon & Garfunkel

1968 Columbia 1/1/68

The cracks in the relationship of this talented duo shows as their music becomes less Garfunkel of the first two albums.  There is still excellence here.  We love them as our poetic spokesmen for the 60's.  This music has not been out of print since it's release

Purchased: 1/1/89 -  $9.99

Parsley, Sage Rosemary & Thyme - #275

Simon & Garfunkel

1967 Columbia 1/1/67

this is the second of there masterpiece trilogy.  Oh how this music made the 60's an intellectual era.  This music told the rest of the world that this generation had a brain.  Record producers world wide were shocked that the public would by this stuff.  Wonderful

Purchased: 1/1/89 - Columbia House $9.99

Sounds Of Silence - #274

Simon & Garfunkel

1966 Columbia 1/1/66

The poets of a generation.  There recording career was too short lived, their talent seemingly limitless.  So much good music on just three albums.  All songs seem to be masterpieces. It was so good that we listened to it until we were sick of it.  All one can say is excellence in rock and roll.  Thank you Paul Simon for staying with us for the whole of our lives.  Art Garfunkel thank you for corroborating before you got the wanderlust.
