Quiet After The Storm - #671 Reeves,
Dianne 1995 Blue Note 5/2/99 A variety of musical styles here but none that
make her glimmer. A common jazz album
from a singer that has potential but little passion for her art Purchased: 12/10/96 -
Columbia House $11.99 Rated: 3 |
Elis Regina - #438 Regina, Elis 1988 Sigla Purchased: 1/1/90 - Tower
$18.99 Rated: 4 |
Sól Moderno - #641 Rhythm Tribe 1991 Zoo 1/1/91 R&B and Jazz at a common pace. A cut out and a good reason to cut it
out. I think this is a poor man's
Rhythm Kings Purchased: 1/10/95 -
J&R $3.99 Rated: 2 |

Greatest Hits - #92 Righteous
Brothers 1988 Verve I bought this album after hearing them in the
movie "Ghost". These guys
sing wonderfully. They are wonderful
songs too but the recording quality is so poor that it is painful to listen
to. How unfortunate this album would
be a 4 with good reproduction. Purchased: 11/30/89 -
J&R $10.99 Rated: 1 |
Blue - #470 Rimes, LeAnn 1996 Curb 1/1/96 Blue is the best, it is a crossover hit. LeAnn does good country, hard to believe
she was 14 at this recording, sounds wise and like material girl. But I don't like country too much. Too much echo, studio production. 1997 New
Artist of the Year. Purchased: 4/1/97 - J&R
$11.99 Rated: 3 |
Brasileirinho - #400 Robison,
Paula 1993 Omega 1/1/93 A nice album, a bit of all pop genres done in a
classical sound. How can the flute be otherwise. A background filler for sure but a good one when you need your
background filled. Purchased: 10/3/93 - Gift
$14.99 Rated: 3 |

Ao Vivo - #678 Rodrigues,
Amalia 1994 EMI Purchased: 10/25/94 -
Imported $18.99 Rated: 3 |
Big Band Christmas - #431 Rogers, Les 1987 Special Music 1/1/87 Purchased: 1/1/88 - $4.99 Rated: 3 |
Bridges To Babylon - #523 Rolling
Stones, The 1997 Virgin 10/10/97 Stones doing their Stone Things. Treasures of Rock and roll keep cranking
them out. One after another all are
good rock and roll. The critics
called this album mostly filler. That
is not an indictment to me, it is high praise. A scrappy bar band must make music so is good, some is not but
there is interest in all of it. This
album demonstrates that the stones keep reinventing themselves to fit the
music of the decade they are working in. Purchased: 10/19/97 -
J&R $12.99 Rated: 4 |

December's Children (and everybody's) - #81 Rolling
Stones, The 1966 ABKCO 1/1/66 Originally bought on vinyl in 1966. Move R&R by the bad boys. This, along with Out Of Our Heads and The
Rolling Songs Now exemplify the 60's take on black R&B. Poor technically but great music. Needs digital remastering. While this Rolling Stones music get the
respect it deserves? Purchased: 1/1/86 - J&R
$12.99 Rated: 5 |
Out Of Our Heads - #79 Rolling
Stones, The 1966 ABKCO 1/1/66 Originally purchased on vinyl in 1996. This is what the Rolling Stones are all
about. Rhythm and blues done by bad
boys of R&R. This reproduction is
of only fair quality. A remastering
is needed. The songs still sound
better on scratch vinyl. Purchased: 1/1/87 - J&R
$11.99 Rated: 4 |
Rewind - #228 Rolling
Stones, The 1984 Rolling Stones 1/1/84 A type of Greatest Hits recording while the Stones
were under their CBS/Columbia and related subsidiary contract. Good Stone Hits recorded well. Not the bluesy stuff of the 60's but great
examples as the Stones successfully updated there sound and transitioned from
the Sixties to Disco and beyond. Purchased: 1/1/90 -
Columbia House $16.98 Rated: 5 |

Rolling Stones NOW!, The - #78 Rolling
Stones, The 1966 ABKCO 1/1/66 Originally purchased on vinyl in the 60's. I flipped when I heard this record as a
teenager. It made me realize rock was
fun, it made me bounce and jump and feel ALIVE, with feeling. It is my coming
of age music. R&B as R&R from
the bad boys of rock. Purchased: 1/1/89 - J&R
$14.98 Rated: 5 |
Stripped - #520 Rolling
Stones, The 1995 Virgin 1/1/95 Good Stones but not so hot technically. Live recordings from around the world and
video too. Some of my favorite songs,
rating a 5 are here but none of them are recorded well Purchased: 12/4/95 - Wiz
$13.98 Rated: 3 |
