Nutcracker Suite, The - #663 LondonSymphony
Orchestra Presents 1993 Listener"s

If I Had A Hammer Double Play- #642 Lopez, Trini 1995 Tring 1/1/95 A nice find if you like Fold with a Spanish
accent. This music was hot and best selling
in the early 1960's. It is mild and
entertaining but one wonders how it ever was as successful as it was. Mr. Lopez soon faded into musical history
after a hit first album and then a weak follow. As well it should be, his novelty lasted only so lone. A lot of popular folk music done
differently is the reason to have this album Purchased: 8/24/97 -

Private Passion - #124 Lorber, Jeff 1986 Warner Bros 1/1/86 Bought as a clearance item but it is good. Like it almost as much as the lorber album
that I paid full price for. Purchased: 1/1/90 - J&R

Tangos Eternos - #157 Los
Romanticos de la 1993 Movie Play Technically not a good recording but great music Purchased: 1/10/95 - Rated: 4 |
Joshua Judges Ruth - #340 Lovett, Lyle 1992 MCA Records 9/1/91 Country with such soul and R&B and Pop. It is difficult to classify as country but
this is a country artist. It is a
contemporary male vocal album that I have to pull out every time I here this
artist's name - I classified this as pop until I heard his Step Inside the
House album. He has the soul qualities on that album but the music is mostly
country. This one is not. And, he was married to Julia Roberts? What a guy! Purchased: 9/1/92 -
Columbia House $16.98 Rated: 5 |
Step Inside This House Disk 1- #608 Lovett, Lyle 1998 Curb MCA 9/22/98 Love Lyle, sometimes, don't like at all at
others. His delivery is here, too
much country though, not enough of his rhythm an blues and soul that he
infuses into country so well. The
interceding twang songs ruin the timbre of this album but pieces are there
that I love too. Purchased: 12/1/98 -

Deep Breakfast - #386 Lynch, Ray 1986 Music West 1/1/86 This is likely the quintessential New Age
album. Celestial Soda Pop is the
first selection and Deep Breakfast and CSP are synonymous. EVERYONE likes CSP. The rest of the album
is great, the pieces together are not thematic so there is no reason to
listen to all of them together. BUT,
once you listen to them each on their own merits you have a masterpiece
album. Purchased: 1/1/89 - J&R
$14.99 Rated: 5 |
