Strangers World - #630 Larkin, Patty 1995 High Street Records
1/1/95 I hated this when I first bought it, I thought it
was a one. Now it rates a 2 max, but
not the junk that I thought it first to be.
There is a mix of styles here, sometimes more country than folk. She is good but not good enough to buy
again. Purchased: 6/30/96 -
J&R $11.99 Rated: 2 |

Illusions - #313 Lemper, Ute 1992 London 1/1/92 Characteristic of Piaf but with a more forced
agony showing. A very likable bit of music
done in the Piaf style. Some would
say a rip off of the real, I would say who cares it is better than average
pop. Purchased: 4/11/94 -
J&R $13.99 Rated: 4 |
John Lennon Collection, The - #507 Lennon, John 1989 Capitol 1/1/89 Lennon spoke for the generation that was the
70's. His death was the end of that
generation and the beginning of the new one.
An entire nation wept as though a son died when he was murdered. He was the conscience of the generation,
but not it's poet. Listen to his
music - in retrospect I do not under stand why he was so important to so
many. Purchased: 9/15/97 -

Mr. Jordan - #68 Lennon,
Julian 1989 Atlantic 1/1/89 A fine showing from the prodigy of one of the pop
icons of the last half of the 20th century.
The inevitable comparisons are made to his father and he does have the
same vocal characteristics but this man is good. His name gave him the chance and he does not disappoint for
having that chance Purchased: 1/1/90 - J&R
$7.99 Rated: 3 |
Lettermen Collectors Series, The - #533 Lettermen,
The 1992 Capitol 1/1/92 The quintessential College Group. Romance was easy when this music was
playing. Songs became standards of
the 1960's. Many of them done better
by the 4 Seasons. How could dating
have been done without this music. A
good remastering. These songs carried
through the 60's and 70's. If you
would have asked me I would tell you they came from the 50's. I must be of a different generation. Purchased: 1/1/94 - J&R
$9.99 Rated: 4 |

Devil's Got Your Tongue - #404 Lincoln,
Abbey 1992 Verve 2/24/92 This is a veteran of the Jazz world. Her voice is showing a maturity beyond her
years and is losing it's clarity. But
expression, hurrah, let us hear a cheer for Abbey. If you like jazz this woman will interest you. A little gospel here too in story to my
father. I love it. A lot of backup
with choirs this is fun. Purchased: 6/21/93 -
