Her career should have been more prominent. The rest of this album is pop filler. This woman is caught between rock and roll, soul and miserable pop. She is more an Icon of the changes of fortune for American Blacks than she is a singer. But a singer she is too. Great phrasing that outdoes others very very well. 	Amtrak Blues - #221 Hunter, Roberta 1980 Columbia 1/1/80 This star resurfaced in the late 70's or early 80's after melting into History. She was recognized world wide in the twenties as a Jazz star, more popular in Europe than here. Time made her a regular human being and she went into nursing in the 40's.
