Nashville Skyline - #570 Dylan, Bob Columbia 1/1/69 Dylan hit country music, Lay Lady Lay brought him
back to the fore front of popular music again. His 'pop' selling status was waning even though he has had his
core fans since the 60's. Lay Lady Lay
was the biggest hit, and classic of his country music stage. His biggest hit after the 60's. The duo with Johnny Cash just doesn't
work. Purchased: 11/4/95 - Best

Planet Waves - #479 Dylan, Bob 1974 Columbia 1/1/74 Doing the 70's thing. A little country fills some of the grooves with typical rock
and roll with "The Band".
The Dylan pop standard "On A Night Like This" and not much
to love but not much to hate either.
This one is mine to fill out my Dylan collection. I might have passed it by otherwise. "the Band" is better than Dylan.
I do like it better with each hearing though Purchased: 11/4/94 - Best

Shot Of Love - #480 Dylan, Bob 1981 Columbia 1/1/81 Dylan gets Christian. The man has quite a conscience. A Soul sound here with country to. It is so hard to figure this man out. Purchased: 11/4/95 - Best

Slow Train Coming - #473 Dylan, Bob 199 Columbia 1/1/79 Dylan!
This sounds like Gospel music.
Good, very very good. What
does Dylan not do? A favorite. Purchased: 1/1/995 - Best
Buy $6.99 Rated: 5 |
Street Legal - #571 Dylan, Bob 1978 Columbia 1/1/78 A lot of gospel and R&B sounds here. A little overproduced, less social
commentary, blues background singers and good. Not one you would play over and over again, but good musically Purchased: 11/4/96 - Best
Buy $6.99 Rated: 4 |
Time Out Of Mind - #522 Dylan, Bob 1007 Columbia 9/30/97 Grammies 97:
Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Folk Album, Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. DYLAN!
Dylan is at his thoughtful best.
This is a reflective and sentimental Dylan, thinking the blues of the
soul like I feel them. This is strong
stuff and it can be hard to take all it in one setting. But is the reflection that I think many
think in their 50's. Woe and the end
is near. But this is DYLAN. Cannot keep away from it. Purchased: 10/19/97 -
