Another Side Of Bob Dylan - #573 Dylan, Bob 1964 Columbia 1/1/64 Dylan, The Original. The folk artist. Sang like
a folk singer. Not so social
revolutionary on this one but a FOLK SINGER in the 50's tradition of Guthrey
and others. Purchased: 12/1/97 -
J&R $10.99 Rated: 4 |
Blonde On Blonde - #202 Dylan, Bob 1968 Columbia 1/1/66 Dylan broke into pop with this one and changed
everything. This is one of first
popular lyric that makes you think.
The end of moon and June requirements in popular music. Dylan angered folk admirers by using a
rock band on this one but it is still folk in undertone. My 2nd copy of this. The vinyl original was given to a German
collector and it brought tears to his eyes. Purchased: 1/1/90 -

Blood On Tracks - #652 Dylan, Bob 1974 Columbia 1/17/75 In 1998, it was said of "Time Out of
Mind" review (for the 1997 album), Minds " the best record since
Blood On Tracks. Yes, here Dylan weaves
his words to our interest and in a folk sense. Like it a lot. And yes,
after this there seems to be a lot of junk. Purchased: 8/7/99 - J&R

Bob Dylan - #478 Dylan, Bob 1961 Columbia 1/1/62 Folk from Dylan hit the mass market with this on.
A first for the genius of the lyric in the last half of the 20th
Century. This Dylan is young,
intense, idealistic, and angry. And
this is serious Folk. Dylan began his
history of seemingly having something to say about everything here. Purchased: 11/4/94 - Best

Bringing It All Back Home - #574 Dylan, Bob 1965 Columbia 1/1/65 First Dylan album I ever owned - maybe, memory
gets murky after 40 years. I remember
getting the vinyl in the mail on the from Columbia House. Wondering , what was this from this man
called a folk artist. This music if
really rock but the Dylan images are there.
Listening to this I wonder why Blonde on Blonde caused such a
sensation. (Well, yes I do - Dylan performed at Newport and everyone expected
Fold - out came the music, in rock, from Blonde on Blonde.0 Purchased: 1/1/94 - J&R

Desire - #569 Dylan, Bob 1975 Columbia 1/1/75 Bought this one when I was in Arizona and had just
won $6000. It, and a few others got
me going on my collection of Dylan. This album is most famous for Hurricane,
a protest song about the jailed boxer.
Hurricane Carter was convicted of murder and eventually released. The social protest worked. Purchased: 11/4/95 - Best

Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, The - #270 Dylan, Bob 1964 Columbia 1/1/63 November 9, 1997.
Was America his naïve that it had to take a Dylan that had to wake up
the country? Yes, fold music moved
with the generations as America changed.
Dylan was a vanguard Purchased: 1/1/91 - $14.98 Rated: 4 |
Hard Rain - #572 Dylan, Bob 1976 Columbia 1/1/76 An audience and lots of rock here. Not sure if this is a concert of his own
or with The Band. There is no
information on the album liner notes.
His trend was toward country but this one still has lots of rock 'n
roll. A Greatest Hits of Sorts
because some of this music is also released on some other albums. Purchased: 11/4/96 - Best

Highway 61 Revisited - #272 Dylan, Bob 1965 Columbia 1/1/65 BREAK THROUGH.
A land mark album that brought Dylan to me personally, and much more
of America than those that previously listened to folk music. You can hear him think rock and roll -
coming in the future. Purchased: 1/1/91 - J&R
$10.99 Rated: 5 |
Infidels - #576 Dylan, Bob 1983 Columbia 1/1/83 Dylan in the 80's. A long slow change toward mediocrity. Rock and country here.
Ok but not what a fan looks to for in the king of musical images. Purchased: 12/1/96 -
J&R $9.99 Rated: 3 |
MTV Unplugged - #547 Dylan, Bob 1995 Columbia 5/2/95 Dylan singing as Dylan at 55. This is the album that got me collecting
all of the Dylan Albums. He wheezes, and
rambles through this music as he doesn't seem to care but even he cannot hide
his artistry. This is the artist that
other Pop artists mention most. Purchased: 1/1/95 - J&R
