Blackstreet

1996 Interscope

Grammy Winner 1997 Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal .  More good R&B but also more too much drum beat, side beat and for beat.  The music could be so very good. Though I was buying the Backstreet Boys when I was buying this one but I enjoy this one too.  Glad to find some good R&B from the 1990's

Blood, Sweat & Tears

Orchestral Rock and Roll.  These musicians set back the rock purists for a while.  They are all educated musicians and weave tales on albums.  David Clayton Thomas became well known because of his work with this album is the vehicle why.

Blood, Sweat and Tea

This group was revolutionary in the early 70's, all well educated musicians, rock and rollers and popular.  They produced their albums in excellent technical qualities rare in that  era.  Some of the first 'suite' music that comprises of a mix of all types of music that frame some hits.  Jazz riffs that lead to rock melody.   They took what the Moody Blues did and made it expert and better.

Bocelli, Andrea

1998 Philips 4/7/98

This man's talent and blindness have made him a superstar.  He has a feeling in performance that makes his voice have extra sensitivity that exceeds his talent.  A winner.  I am not sure how this would rate if I loved and knew opera as Peter Novak does but I like it

1996 GRP Records 1/1/96

This album was listed in the folk section.  It is pop, maybe a little country, and only a fair presentation of it at that.  I bought this when it was new, I am sure that its destination will be the cutout bin.  The woman has talent and a fine voice, a little like Carly Simon but it is not distinguished from anything else in the last 10 years.  I wish it were folk.  Overproduced like a hot of 90's music.

It's a 3 because the voice is good.  It is a novel concept but the passion of a genre is not here.  Garth - do it better next time

Great Harmony from a group that harmonized it's way through the 50's and early 60's.  Their kind of harmony stayed a while in pop and evolved into the sounds that were provided by the Beatles.
